Do you know where you can buy soft craw? I’m on Catawba Island and I used to get them from Rickerd’s but since they closed I’ve only been able to find the hard-shelled crawdads.

Best bait.com They are actually not far from you. I’ve ordered from them and they ship to you free but you can drive over and pick them up since you are close.

My buddy got some soft shells a month ago at Herbs bait and tackle.Its on Rt 53.

Try the Ned rig instead. It might be just as good as live crayfish.

This rig really pisses the fish off. YOu will feel the fish grab it at top and the rubber will snap back. just keep reeling don't set yet. Then you will feel the weight of the fish and pop, set the hook and game on.
