Default friday 6/26 am trip with a KY crew

We launched at 6 am and headed just east of the launch and i couldn't get those fish to bite today. so we didn't wast much time and headed north east. The Mayflies where thick today and the fish are full of them but we found some fish in deeper water that we where able to get to bite. Most of them came on bandits back 120 to 75 at 2.0 and a few on dipsy and spoons back 40 on the 1 setting and 70 on the 3 setting. the bite was slower for us today but we got them their bag of walleye and a huge catfish. colors where gold and orange or purple with orange belly and gold and orange spoons.

Good job on a tough day. Do I see one of your fish is a female that never dropped her eggs this year?

Yes we had 6 or 7 this past week that still had eggs. This is normal as some females just do not lay their eggs. They reabsorb them back into their system over the summer. Not sure why this happens, but it seems to happen every year with some fish.
