    Talking walleye

    On 3-21 fished near crib reef late afternoon in 25" of fairly clean water and caught 4 walleye and 1 perch jigging with purple hair jig and green swedish pimple. Largest walleye was 29" and weighed 11# with other 3 weighing 4#,3# and 2.5#.

    On 3-22 fished same routine with my son and we caught 18 walleye,3 white bass, and 4 perch mostly north of crib reef in 25' of fairly clean water. Tried midday about 1.5 mile further east where we saw approximately 20 boats. Water was 25' deep, fairly clean and we were marking many fish but only caught 1 walleye. I believe this will be good area and will be closer to reach if you launch from Catawba State Park.
