Worm bite yet?
I was wondering if the worm bite was on yet. Taking my grandson out tomorrow and if we can cast I think he would have more fun. I thought I might troll to locate fish then maybe set up to drift them and cast. I'm assuming the jig bite is done. We'll run out from the Wild Wings area. Any help appreciated, thanks.

Jig bite has slowed down considerably and most casters have switched to weapon rigs which is a shorter casting harness with orange beads and hammered gold blade. There are many color variations obviously but gold with orange beads always seems to be a great producer. You can put a couple bottom bouncers out as well. If heading out of wild wings go east towards the reefs like crib and round you'll see the parking lot of boats. Definitely lots of fish in those areas. I fished those areas Saturday and Sunday and did excellent but I was trolling because the wife and my son wanted to. Lots of drifter casting and having huge success as well. Good luck to you and be safe gentlemen.
