    Default Island flooding

Windsurf Forcast has a NE wind starting today and lasting through Thursday. With the record high water level, would expect some major flooding surrounding the western basin.Lakefront property and people with stationary docks should be prepared.I'm going to our lake house today and prep for possible flooding.Last time had water in our place was in the 1980s.Can only hope Forcast wrong and our place stays dry.Good luck to everyone else that might be affected.

The predicted winds are not strong enough to be significant. It's not blowing 20 until late Sunday, if it rose to 30, I would worry. By Monday morning, it switches to south.

Yesterday morning had 20. -30mph out NE Forcast on windsurf, now the prolonged NE wind is now under 20mph.The water will rise but looks like lakefront property will luck out again without major flooding.
At our lake house now and took stuff off the floor.Found and cleaned out some 30yr old garbage too.Our place is almost due north of the Kroger in port Clinton. Can see quite a few boats fishing near E can and hiding around Clinton reef.
Went to my buddy's place at the CIC and gave him some more gear for fishing.Got 2 Cisco triple gimbel tube rod holders for him and added 2 more line counter trolling rods calibrated with braid. Can't wait to use them when the dipsey and spoon bite starts.

Got word from neighbor that got ugly last night and water got pretty high this morning, but did not reach our lake house. So looks like got lucky again and wont have to spend memorial weekend cleaning up.The forcast calls for diminishing NE wind and doesn't change direction till Saturday??? Downtown Port Clinton had to have gotten flooded pretty good. With all that water flowing down Portage river and hitting the high lake water. What a mess. But they have been getting wet regularly most of last spring too.Hoping for some warm dry weather this Memorial weekend and SW winds that are light.
