If you only caught 4 I'm guessing you are doing something wrong. That area has been full of fish. Saturday they were slamming my blade baits. Sunday just a softer grab.

Fished Maumee bay Monday night. Kept 30. Caught and threw back another 30. Black or purple hair jigs.

I'm very interested in learning to jig fish for walleye over on Eric.... I've done some trolling and drift casting over the years, but have never jigged for them. Are there only certain areas that are better for jigging... are the humps the same as the dumping grounds? Do you just drift and jig the bottom?? Weight of jig?/

Sorry... lots of questions. Any specific information would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Chris

I fished round and crib on Saturday with two boys under 8. They got two on worms, I got none on a purple hair jig in 3 hours before 10:30. Went to bass fish and caught about 15. Then trolled reef runners straight behind the boat about 70 back and got two more walleye in 10 minutes before we headed in for the night because of waves.

So I figure I keep doing something wrong with the jigs (and I’ve jig fished other places my whole life and done well). Still fun trying something new. Thanks for all the tips everyone.
