when do the white bass run in fremont ?

I am told by the guys I work with, the best for white bass is in may,close to mothers day.

The white bass run generally starts in the later part of april into early may. There should be a run in the Sandusky River. I know they run the Maumee like crazy. Best place in the Maumee is Downstream of Buttonwood access area out in the middle. Just find the deeper holes. We used to fish for them in sneakers and shorts. When the water got above belly high to chest. Just back up and start catching with double jigs tied on.
