Default Lots of walleye by Starve???

A friend of mine said he had a guy telling him that there is a huge school of walleye near Starve and he had been doing well casting over there. I have not seen any boats fishing around there, but could this be a location that is holding lots of fish that have been overlooked by most of us? I thought all the fish that had been in that area had moved east.

I have tried Starve a few times this year without much luck and nobody fishing the area. I have been doing well @ Scott's Point but I was out yesterday and I was catching nothing but sheeps. I had one on both rods several times. I am a drift and caster and there wasn't much wind to move me yesterday which I think was part of the problem. All the reports I have been reading is east of Cedar Point has been great.

There are still limit catches of walleye drift fishing between South Bass and Kelleys Islands. Also west of Catawba Island and early morning and in the evening south of the South Passage reefs. Find a little clearer water out from the more turbid near shore water and start looking. So many walleye out there...

There is no reason to doubt your friend when he says he's catching there. Just because there are no other boats there doesn't mean squat. Good for him for finding his own fish. There are fish everywhere right now....not just to the east. You just have to find them with your electronics and fish them. It's that simple.
