Is Catawba State Park or Mazuriks open to launch boats?

I live on Catawba. Those ramps are always "open" for launching . They don't really close. Whether the ice is gone out completely from the area I do not know since I haven't been home in a week. However, the floating portions of the docks don't get put in until March or April, depending on weather. So you're launching off the short concrete walkway. OK if you can drive it off or push it off with boots.
