Default Caught walleye couldn't get perch

Caught a three man limit of walleye N/W of West Sister in about three hours. Trolled Bandits, spoons and harnesses. Bandits were the best. Switched to perch fishing. Tried to get shiners but had to settle for goldies. Couldn't get the perch to bite only caught three, tried lots of spots. Anybody know of a place to get shiners? I think they're better when the perch bite is tough.

I called around and can not find shiners. I did learn that the bait shops have fat heads mixed in with the goldies. I think that makes it even harder. When the perch bite is on the goldies will work.

Goosebuster, if you don’t mind me asking how deep were you running those bandits today and how fast were you going. We were out there this morning and only caught three using harnesses

Ran the bandits 75-90 back about 2mph. Harnesses took some fish for us, ran them behind heavy bouncers about 40 back. Ran the spoons behind 40jets about 75 back.

Thank you goosebuster. We’ve been running harnesses with success but they really turned off yesterday. So we’ll give the bandits a go

The one that took the most fish has a blue back and silver sides but I'm not sure color was all that important.
