Sunday morning walleye
Has been awhile since I have posted, very limited fishing time the last couple years. Two friends and I went out yesterday morning. I usually head for deeper water this time of year...but we listened to some advice pointing us to American Eagle Shoal. We stopped in 20’ of water on the shoal. We had 5 lines set by 07:00. First one hit while getting set up, only had 3 lines in. Second one hit about 5 minutes later. We kept a straight troll toward Kelley’s Is. After about 20 minutes (no hits), we turned around to go back over our marks from the first two keepers. We began to run in approx. a 500’ circle around those marks. We had our 3 man limit by 11:00. We kept 16-20” fish, and released a dozen smaller ones. Sure was a GREAT day to be on the lake.
Ran zero dipsey’s 15-17’ down
All Stinger spoons purple, black, pink with copper backs(sorry, don’t know the names)
Again, my biggest surprise was the water depth that they were in, let alone active. Learn something new every day.
Good luck to all,
