Lake Erie Ice Report

Drove from Toledo to Pt Clinton today. We had south winds 20-30mph w/ blowing snow so keep that in consideration on this report.

Metzgers Marsh- Open water for 1/4 mile. No Vehicles

Crane Creek now "Magee Marsh" Pressure Crack 1/4 mile off shore running to the NE forever & No Vehicles

Camp Perry- Looked good. Alot of rip rap to work through but did not see pressure crack. Has possibilities if you wanna be first--No Vehicles

Catawaba SP.- Pressure crack keeping 8 Shanties approx 1/4 mile north of pier. 7 Vehicles in lot.

Millers Ferry- 2 Shanties off shore approx 1/4 mile directly off Catawaba Point

Spoke with Ferry operator who runs the airboat off Millers Ferry. He said yesterday there were open areas of water on his route to South Bass but today it hardened up. He mentioned there were areas where he would spider crack the ice today and estimated those areas at 2" of ice.

The wind for tomarrow is westerly 10-20 which should close some pressure cracks which will give access towards Green Island.

mmm, ice pretty good out of green cove area, lots of push ice but 1 foot thick. guys did real good weekend out of catawba as well.

jam, were you out this weekend or did you here about it. How far out and what depth. was it a good bite, just looking for more details thinking of coming over.

go out of catawba island state park. go NW little over 2 miles. make sure you have good clear water. gold is working
