Got our two man 60 in 3 hours today off green can at Catawba ( 8AM to 11). 20 lbs at cleaners so maybe just a smidgen smaller than the ones far out, but still very nice eaters, and the 5 minute or less ride from the ramp sure is nice. By far the best bite we've had this fall. Still a very light bite for lot of them, but we had quite a few slam it, and quite a few doubles. The two of us had 4 and 5 fish on at once, more than a couple of times. 35 or 40 boats there, some catching, some not. There are fish everywhere but you have to get on top of good marks and a hungry pod. Slowed after 10:30 when wind died and took a while to get last 6.

Yes we had emeralds. Mostly medium to smaller size. Switched to thinner hooks and the small ones worked just fine. Watch the graph find a school and fish. That's what I've been doing. I had very rough trips until last weekend but if I can find them anyone can find them. If they don't bite in 15 minutes pull the hook and try again sometimes only 100 yards makes a difference. Run the motor. Try spreaders/crappie rigs/skipper 9 rigs. Single hook and sinker worked good too
There's a lot of fish out there for everyone
