perch in 3 miles

Out of anchor point 40deg. 3 miles did ok with 50 perch 13lbs in 5 hrs. Talked to people that went between west and middle sister that didn't do any better. So goes the luck of the stop! Gonna try tomorrow again and will let you know. I like the 3 mi. vs 15 mi. especially when the 3-4 footers are knocking at your bow in the morning but it did lay down in the early afternoon. Some nice 9's and 10's but still alot of 7's. As always YUM-YUM!!

Went out Saturday - 10/11 - kept 20 perch. Several small ones thrown back. Traveled about 35 miles altogether. Out of Anchor Point 16 miles at 60 degrees - then north to almost the line - then in by turn around - then southwest 2 miles. Move a couple time in each area. Marked a lot of fish. A lot of gas for a few perch. Saw other boats catch a few but every one went back into the lake.

Went out last night - 11/13 2 miles northeast of Toledo water intake and ended up with 41 in less than 2 hours. Some good size as well. Sorted fish keeping 3 out of every 4. Small minnows with hooks laying on the bottom. When boat would raise up from the waves, you could feel the extra weight of the fish holding the minnow and then you set the hook.
