Good perch today West of Gull

After a tough 35 perch day earlier this week, the wife and I launched from Mazuriks this morning and started about a mile West of Gull, no one else around. Got about 40 nice fish and the bite really died. We looked around close by but finally moved to the a East side of the shoal and finished our limit with a slow pick. Funny thing was the wind had died and the waves were mostly from boat wakes. The rod I had in the holder, unattended, kept catching most of the fish during the last hour. They were nice fish and had to chase down those minnows that were bouncing around with the waves. I tried but couldn't duplicate that motion with the rod I held, so you just never know. Our 60 perch went 20 lbs. at Bays Edge, it was a good day.
