They're cheap and for perch fishing I usually throw the rig away when a hook breaks. 90% of the perch I catch are on the bottom hook. After 500 fish (probably exaggerating), the crimps tend to weaken the mono. I figure if a hook breaks off, it's time for a new rig. These things can't cost more than a dollar or two each if you make them yourself. (I'm speaking exclusively about the ones I make referenced in post #10)
I've also been known to keep fishing the other two hooks for a while. When the bite is hot, sometimes it doesn't matter.
