Perch Fishing 8-7

Know it's a bit late but took a head boat out of Port Clinton on Sunday the 7th and the whole boat had a limit of perch in about 2.5 hrs fishing ESE of Rattlesnake about halfway between Rattlesnake and South Bass. Didn't matter what rig you were using, caught them on everything. About 8" was the norm with a few 6"s and 10"s sprinkled in. Best part was we caught virtually no junk fish, just up and down with yellow perch all morning.

For what it's worth the capt. told me they had been doing great on walleye east of Kelley's and it must have been great for them to make the run from the Portage River all that way in those head boats.

Wow, headboats running that far from PC. Now that must be a fenonimal bite happening over there. That's alot of run time for their clients. Cool to know that there's still the abundance of eyes in the area as it has been all summer. Thanks for the report.

which head boat went to there web page shore enough and fisherman's wharf says perch good walleye not so good we usually go with miss cindy in vermillion but fishing was poor there last year and we went out of port clinton and got a 30 man limit of perch

I went out with Shore Nuf they said the walleye had just picked up that week i.e. 8/8-8/12.

was told vermillion perch is almost non existing no head boat this year friend talked to captain there staying in port clinton
