Default Heading up today for some night fishing

Heading up this afternoon with three guys. They are wanting to do some night fishing. Not sure how the night bite will be but we are going to give it a shot.

I haven't bee on the lake for a few weeks so I was thinking about starting N. of Niagara and trolling toward the Islands.

Anyone been fishing at night?? Any ideas on where to start would be appreciated..

Gonna give it a whirl this weekend on some of my favorite rock piles. I suspect the bigger fish are feeding at night. Who knows.

Starve island shoal, scotts point, gull shoal, kellys island reef, work edges till it gets dark then start working the shallows with smaller stickbaits, bet ya get some hogs !!!

Was up in that general direction a few weeks ago for the night bite. Caught 2 keepers on bandits, a few throwbacks as well, but fishing was slow. We trolled along the shoals and across the south edge of Kelley's till an apocalyptic mayfly hatch went down(probably why the fishing stunk). It took us hours to bring the boat back up to being presentable.

I know the nights can be really good for walleye. Is there any perch bite after dark?

I'm not a expert on perch, but heard perch don't bite at night, all the places that I have fished I have never caught one after dark. Don't know what else to say, there are alot of people on this site that know much more than me.
