Well....for the last couple weeks we've had most trips catching 40 to 50 shorts to get a 3 man limit west and northwest of Westsister, but for some reason today we decided to venture east to Huron to look for something bigger. Left the house around 5:30, first stop was the area I call the shelf, in close west of the lighthouse halfway to Sawmill trolling Bandits, nothing but monster sheephead and catfish. 2nd stop north towards the dumping grounds, nothing but knats...not even a pullback. 3rd stop kellys schoal....nothing but 1 sheephead pulling bandits, harnesses and spoons. 4th stop Cranberry Creek, tons of marks and unbearable knats....caught about 30-40 shorts pulling the smaller bandits, harnesses ,spoons and everything else we had in the boat, a couple white perch and sheepheed. Back to the Turn-around tomorrow...if we get some wind, but if we don't get some tomorrow, it's going to be a beach day with a hangover.
