    Default Cotton Wood Season

Cotton Wood Season will soon be upon us . I would like to remind all new boaters who have their boats docked in the area marinas that Cotton Wood Seeds will plug up your bilge pump if they get into your bilge.

The cotton wood season is also prime crawler harness season and the beginning of the summer spoon season. We were robbed of it last year because of the constant rain during the month of June. Hopefully we will be able to get out and stay dry this year and have a happy worm bite.

I can't get out this weekend due to family commitments. If I could I would head to an area between Niagara and D-Can Just inside the firing Range and start looking for fish. I would most likely work along the Firing range in a ESE direction towards the south passage between D and F Cans, There are usually fish in this area this time of year. I would be pulling worm harnesses with a generic mix of Golds and Browns(Large #6 Gold Brown Blades) and Pink, Blue and Purples(Large #6 Rainbow Blades) with large(huge to some) bodied beads/plastic bodies.

In my earlier post I forgot to mention that the cotton wood seeds will also plug up your scuppers if your boat is so equipped.
