    Default Good...but not so good

Waited a long month for a day like today and it didn't quite pan out like I thought it would. Made the long drive up from Indiana and launched out of Catawba...made the long drive back empty handed. Tried huskies...anti-freeze, cat-dog, boy-girl, purples, yellow perch, pinks, purples... 60-110 back at 1.4-1.8mph around niagra....east of the can line, around D can and further down towards G can with no takers. Anyone else struggle today to find a rhythm? Watched some nets go down but not a whole lot. Plan on bringing my Dad and a long time family friend up for his first time on the big water tomorrow but am left kind of clueless on what program to try after today's failed attempt. A simple reply or a pm from someone with some insight would be great! Hopefully someone had some luck today and the fish will be more active tomorrow.

Popped 3 nice ones north of mouse but water seemed to dirty up in the area and when they did the fish shut off got all three inside a half hour bandits 80 back and reef runners 65 back

Water definitely was a little murky at times. Unfortunately my selection of bandits and Reef runners is limited but I will have to try them. What colors seemed to work out the best?

We also fished East of the Can line but on North edge of Niagra. Lines in at 8 am and had 5 in boat by 10 am but then it was cold until 2 pm when we got 2 more in same area.

1.6 mph with Bandits at 70 - 90 and 80 being the best. Firetiger, purple shad and glow in the dark pink caught them all.

Sounds like you were doing everything maybe just needed to get North a little? Hope this helps.

Thanks Dave. Sounds like we were just South of the action maybe. We are headed up today and going to try the North edge of the cans down towards Niagra with hopefully a little better luck. Looks like some clearer water in that area.
