Dipsey's
I would like to get a few dipsey's and give em a go. My question is , what is the best size for fishing 50 ft or less. Would be pulling spoons and maybe harnesses too. Thanks and will be looking for a few also if I find the best size for my application, Thanks all, Mike

Hi Mike, here's our program and its been working pretty good.
Mainline 30lb braid
Dispy = #1
snubber = 30lb 8"
leader = 6' floro
We have been setting the dispy's 2 per side. Front set at 3.5 and 175 - 200 foot of line out. Rear (2nd) set at 1 and 115 - 130 foot of line.
Recent lessons learned for this guy have been (must use snubber).
Good luck and let us know how things work out.24' Caravelle

I agree with skinny5382 on most of what he said. are you planning on fishing in 50 ft of water or less or are you planning to fish 50 ft deep in deeper water?? if your fishing in 50 ft of water or less then I don't think you need the long leads he mentioned unless your wanting to fish the bottom. I use 65 lb braid main line and 185 ft will hit bottom in 50 ft of water. with a 30 lb braid main line you should get a deeper dive curve than I do with 65 lb.
# 1 dipsy
30 lb braid main line
6 to 8 ft 20 lb fluro leader
rubber snubber between diver and leader
a lot of guys don't use snubbers but I just lose to many fish without them. but its a personal preference.

thanks
Just kinda gettin an opinion on which size dipsey would work the best, will probably be fishing mostly 50 ft of water or less, might venture to the central basin but not soon. Anyhow, I appreciate all the knowledge fella's, thank you, Mike
