I currently own a loadmaster trailer locally built in Port Clinton. Not impressed with the craftsmanship. Been having some issues with the trailer that have not seen in other trailers, I’ve owned 4 boats previous, so have experience. There is common knowledge that each boat has a sweet spot when being loaded properly.

With that said, the front roller design where the hull of the bow sits, took a chunk out of my fiberglass and had to pay $350 to have boat repaired. Roller was poor design for size of boat.

Now the bunks are coming off due to using lag bolts instead of carriage bolts. I would understand if the trailer was poorly maintained, but being garage kept high and dry and only a few years old, this is abnormal compared to other trailers I owned. Trailer bunks for this size of boat should have carriage bolts to ensure longevity.

None of these defects were covered by manufacturer. Just wanted to give other’s the heads up before make the big purchase on a custom built trailer.
