    Has anyone tried the salted shiners that you can order from a place in Marblehead??good bad or otherwise??

    i used them a couple weeks ago and they caught just as many a live bait. Keep them cool or they get rubbery.

    I heard peopl put them in ziplock bags with wintergreen rubbing alcohol and freeze them. Haven't tried it, but seems like it would work.

    I'm going to try 91% alcohol they say to get most of the water off them put in a jar with a lid put in freezer they will not freeze but stay good for a year as long as when you are fishing keep them on ice in the jar? I'll let you know how they turn out.

    I put my leftover goldies in 91% and I must say they look good. haven't tried them yet.
