    Default Hot And Tots

After years being away from Lake Erie, we purchased a 34 foot Luhrs last summer that we plan on doing a lot of walleye fishing with this summer. Plan on doing a considerable amount of trolling . Probably using our big planner boards. Have about 100 hot n Tots that I am planning on dragging around . Never hear much about hot n tots anymore. Does anyone out there still use these, or am I way out of the loop. Also we changed the name of our boat from Figment to Nan Sea Lee. Out of Foxhaven.

Hot-n-Tots are a great warm water summer time crank. The fast action works well during the summer months. I see you are out of Foxhaven...same here.

We've seen your boat there. We are @ dock 131. Are you in the same vicinity ? Back to the Tots, I have done really well in the past with them , but as I mentioned in my earlier post I don't hear much about them .

I don't have many but my cousin runs them on his boat. I think it's been a long time producer!

Tot's still work. It is just there are other baits that typically just work/catch better now that the water is clearer. Since you are going to run big boards, you might look into jets and spoons for the warmer water season. Use the tot's for spring.
I can only hope I have earned the freedom that has been given me.

Thanks for the input. I plan on running spoons as well. In your opinion, ( and I know everyone reading this may have a different one ), where would be the most productive area to start trolling this spring. Thanks, cotton

Reefs...east of the reefs...ferry line and just south of Starve. You won't miss the boats if the fish are there.
