I also use pilgrim but plain old shower curtain hangers also work well with the Red Rubber Bands.
Our most often used release is to use aluminum Carabiners available in bulk on eBay.
They slide down the towline well and we use them with the Red Rubber bands.

Capt Greg, I would be intersted in seeing what you have rigged up sometime. Are you the boat next to "daylight in the Swamp"? If so I am straight across to north of you. thanks
