    Default ice report PIB

2 dozen shanties scattered on the west side of PIB out to Rattlesnake. 4-6" of good ice with 4" of soft stuff on top. Friends fishing near Rattle today said they were on 8-9" of good ice. Less than ideal but colder nights coming. Water milky but improving. Fishing slow. No real numbers. Walleyes small. Good perch reports closer to shore. Can only get better. Good luck & be careful.

    Default Michigan rescue this morning

Here is a link to a story about a Lake Erie rescue this morning in Michigan. Be careful out there it's still early.

Very good catches of eyes about 1.9 out of Camp Perry. 6-10 inches of ice with a little water on top. Lots of guys out on sleds and quads. Still take caution as this is a normal year for the ice and not even close to last year. Fishing is good and is safe as long as you use your head.

    Default Catawba-Monday

Ice at Catawba on Monday was good. Had a little water on top, slushy here and there but no major breaks anywhere. Was a small busted in spot to the northwest on 2nd shove crossing, I'm sure someone has a new opening by now. Fishing itself was a little slow for most, if ya got a quiet spot, it was on, a lot of searchers around , a lot of walkers out 3 miles and more, beautiful day to say the least.Ice was a solid 8" with a little punky white on top from the rain, water is very clear too. Mike
