Scary stuff, they are really lucky to be alive actually. 4 miles out from the mouth, 45 minutes for rescue to reach them, in the middle of the day sunny weather, and a gps giving their exact location if the news article is accurate. Only one had a life jacket on...

It would be very interesting to find out what caused this.

Sure it was rough to west at 1 it was building at the oak with east wind blowing probably small boat took water over bow or transom i would bet.
