    Default Show us your boat

I thought it may be fun for us to post photos of our pride and joys. Not just to show off what you have, but so maybe we can recognize each other out on the lake or in our own marinas. Lets see what ya got and add what you like/dislike about your boat. It may help others who are considering buying a boat or trading for something different.

OK I'll play. Here's my 2000 Kencraft Challenger 215 powered by a 250 Yamaha OX66 with a Yamaha T8 kicker. Not gonna go on about likes and dislikes...it gets the job done and is pretty versatile as you can see.

    Default my little tin can

2001 18ft Crestliner/150 yami w/T-8 kicker/101 I-pilot. Been thru many tourney's on Erie and Sag Bay. Always got me out and back ( the boat, not the original Evinrude engine I used to have). Sure would like to move to a cuddy for the wife. But I do have an advantage as we can fish Sag Bay/ St clair river, Lake St clair, Detroit river and Erie. Early on with the wife, and now with bubble wind screens. Extremely fishable boat, even more so than one partners 620 ranger and another 23ft sportcraft. But your going to get wet if the wind is blown. And it's an easy $100/day mostly for gas in the truck to fish Erie.

    Nice Rigs Guys.
Here’s my ride. I like the dry ride, amenities for family time, and cruising. Fishability is good with a crew, solo not so much. I had a Raymarine auto pilot installed this off season and look forward to trying it out soon.

    Default Here's my edgewater

This is the only picture I think I have of the boat in my computer and as you can see we are not fishing. Thats the beauty of a 23 ft Center console, you can talk momma into it for boating and recreation for the kids. However I am impressed with the little edgewagter's ability to handle the nasty 4-6 footers Lake Erie can serve up on a moments notice. the 225 Yamaha four stroke can push 4 people just over 40 but troll down to 2- 2.5 which is good for Salmon but i need to drag bags for walleye and it makes it hard to steer. So we could use a 9.9 or 8 Yamaha hig thrust. It trailers nice and has a great Sound system with Clarion Marion and bose speakers and sub woofer under the seat. Garmin 2006 I think is fine but I won't pretend to know 90 percent of what it is capable of. It does everything I need and I would be lost without it.

The Edgewater is well built and solid and you don't have to worry about any wood getting wet and rotting because there is none in hull. The T top and bow rail is extra heavy duty aluminum aand the fittings are all stainless. Livewell is large lit oval and sink and washdown work great. Not much room in the stearn area because of large leaning post and center console eats up a lot of deck space. Fishes 4 people comfortable but we have had as many as 12 fishing on the boat. We just keep everyone up front out of the way until its their turn if we are trollin.

Can't wait to get out probably next weekend if all goes well. The snookdaddy usally goes out of sterliing bolles or Fenwick this time of year. Gimme a shout on the 2 way if your nearby love to hear from you.

    Likes:
Trailers pretty easy (2 of us can trailer her in almost the same time as 18')
    Great fishability
    Will handle the worst conditions
    Built like a battle tank
Not terrible on fuel (I can do 1.5 mpg if I don't run over 3200)

    Dislikes:
My truck gets almost as bad of fuel mileage when I trailer LOL
Poor birth for sleeping but then again she's a fishing vessel

I'll try to add a better pic, there doesn't seem to be a better one on this computer
