FISHING HAS SLOWED DOWN SINCE SUNDAY!

The cold front and rains that we had last week have shown there effect Monday and Tuesday. the combination of mud stained water & freezing temps through the weekend seems to of given the fish lock jaw.

Allot of fish are being marked its just trying to get them to go right now.

We had one boat bring in 6 fish today from the Turtle Island area in 9 to 12' of water. One was a female which had not spawned yet. The males are averaging about 4lbs this year. These fish were taken on old reliable, you guessed it PURPLE HAIR JIGS!

We are expecting the fishing to be good this weekend with warm temperatures and steady weather all week raising the water temp. and no rain to allow the lake to clean up some. By no means will it be crystal clear Saturday, however it should be fishable.

Some of the pros in town for the FLW tourney out of Port Clinton have been finding feeding fish on trolling patterns with Reef Runners & Husky jerks in the 22' to 32' of water. PLEASE REMEMBER IF YOU DECIDE TO TROLL SLOW DOWN!!! 1.5MPH or SLOWER!!
