Sat and Sun Trips 19 and 20 for the year
R Chrystal Joy Capt Rick

Saturday fished straight out of the mouth of Portage river. Slow and steady at times. Very strange second half of the perch season.
Inline perch rigs no Bling did best. Had shiners for the first time all year.
Lots of very nice Big 11 to 13 inch perch. Many throw back perch and Baby Walleye all released back to live another day.
Caught 127 perch for 49 pounds dozen farm animals. Heavy Rain Most of the trip. The fish actually hit better during Rain.

Sunday Fished same area had to move 5 times Heavy NE wind that kept switching. Had hard time keeping the anchor held. Actually did pretty good just dragging the anchor seemed like we would move over a school and it would get hot and then just stop. We have had hard time holding the perch since August. Huge schools of fish on fish finder 3 to 4 foot thick but only a few of them were hungry. inline perch rigs white beads did the best followed by blue then red. Once again we had shiners. had to be whole shiner cut bait did not work at all. smaller the shiner the better big ones could not be given away.
Caught over 70 throw back Perch good to see them. Threw back 43 walleye babies. Caught 97 perch for 29 pounds. Caught 1 pound large mouth kind of strange to see him that far out.

Thanks for all that post. last 2 trips next weekend then off to the tree stand.
