Good Day On L Can Today!

One man limit just east of L can today. I had my limit in just over two hours. The bite was light and on the bottom. 20 FOW. 10 pounds at Cutchers. The water was fairly clear after this weeks storms.

You did better than we did Thurs. We started at L at 8 AM in 16 feet water, real close to can. Had maybe 8 but was real slow. Water real stained - couldn't even see cavitation plate. Left for greener pastures. Moved towards A. Nothing. Another short move there. Got a couple. Moved towards D can seeking cleaner water. Stopped near flat rock reef in 23 feet water, west of the big pack that was south of Niagra and west of D. Water a little better but could still barely see cavitation plate. Picked up a few more but still real slow. Decided to head north and see if any cleaner water out deeper. Nada. Bite was even slower in the deeper water and clarity was worse. Headed back towards West sister. Still no clean water so decided to keep going back in to L. Finished the day there picking at them same place we started.

Maybe should have just stayed there. Maybe should have gone into the pack although we watched head boats move out of it. In all, three of us fished from 830 Am to 4 PM, covered a lot of water, and had grand total of 31 perch to show for it, on what should have been a good day with overcast sky and light chop. I think the water is still way too stained and seems slow clearing up from looks of today's satellite pic.
