Perch
Capt Rick R Chrystal Joy Trip #12 of the year.
NW of G can winds were not as good as Iwind surf predicted. Weather was beautiful. Waves felt like we were in a washing machine.
Fish were come and go and then just shutdown. 20-24 foot of water. mix of sun and clouds. they hit much better during the periods of clouds.
Inline rigs and Perch spreaders. Gold Bling outperformed everything on this trip. Super lite bite if you thought you felt something set the hook. Take a chance.
No shiners goldies. Live goldies were all they would hit i tried cutting them for more smell and not one fish was caught this way.
they would move up and down from right on the bottom to 2 foot off the bottom. They wanted the bait dead still if you let it bob up and down with the 3 foot waves they would not hit it.
We caught 115 fish for 40 pounds at the cleaners with 15 throw back perch. 1 catfish and couple dozen farm animals.
Lots of nice reports on this board thank you all.
