My son and I drove over to Mazurik ramp at 1:30 to see how much the lake was rolling and how many boats were at Lakeside. The lake looked to be all of 4 foot seas and lots of boats were launching and returning from the lake. We decided to wait until later in the day to see if the lake would lay down as IWind said it would do.
At 5:00 the wind subsided and we left our West Harbor dock. By 5:35 we were fishing due north of the Lakeside pier in 26 fow and 3 ft seas. Tried for 45 min with no action. WE moved East into 28 fow just north of the Marblehead water tower. We began to catch walleye. We ended up with nine (9) walleye on green and yellow Erie Dearies on a 15-20 count. WE only caught walleye and no other type of fish which was surprising to us. We ended up with two 22" walleye, 2 -16 in walleye, and the rest were all 17 in fish. IT was a great evening on the lake.
