After weeks of bad weather and few fish, yesterday my luck changed. The talk was west of Kelleys so we launched at Mazuris and trolled those waters for over 2 hours without a bite. Then heard several reports of catches NW of the island and east of the red buoy so we set are lines in that area after seeing many good marks on the Lowrance Elite 7. In just a few minutes we pulled a double followed in a few more minutes with another golden eye. With time restraints we finished with 8 total and no throwbacks. All were taken on Bandits back 45' to 55' at 1.8 mph off my new Opti boards which I am getting to like a little better than the Church boards. I sincerely hope this report has not offended anyone but I know there are many out there searching for answers just like me and sharing info only makes for a better Lake Erie experience.
Note to Juls: The water temp was 58 degrees.
