Left from Catawba around 10am Friday morning. The forecast for the area seemed to have changed drastically from what I had been following hours earlier - mainly temp and wind direction. Tiss the season for that I guess. It had to be a full 30-40 degrees warmer when I got back to Akron later that day! Regardless, fun getting out for the first time this year.

Made our way to Round Reef and had success making a drift east to west, with most success coming to east of the reef (within a few hundred feet) and generally closer proximity to the reef (right past the marker for the reef). An oz jig, purple haired did the trick. Also some on green. Dropped it over, as vertical a jig as the conditions would allow it.

I saw several boats trolling in the area, would be curious how anyone did around the reef trolling this weekend? Or where the trolling action is these days?

Thanks!
