June 16 report

Started out at about noon Friday, headed for the East edge of Rattle Snake at the cable buoy gave the perch a try. All I had was some frozen shiners I put up, but they worked. I caught 15 in about 2 hours. All nice fish though. I closed up shop and Headed West. Lots of boat working North West of Niagra,, I gave it a whirl casting a mayfly rig.. gave up on that and got out the cranks. I tied on two Jr. Streak Spoons one purple and one Monkey Puke I think its called. set up with trutrip divers and inline boards. Marked lots of fish at 18 ft. that is where I towed the spoons,, managed to catch one I could keep right off the bat on the monkey puke... After about 15 shorts I decided to try cranks again and I moved up towards the Crib where I had luck 2 weeks ago. Had on a DHJ clown and a P10 clown also although they look much different. I set them both at 75 back... The weather was pretty iffy a couple of times, but it broke up. I managed to pull off my other 5 fish at dusk. the shortest was 17 and the rest were 20-22 inches. very nice. It was just the right amount of cleaning to do. I'm ready to hit it again come next week.
