Went out Thursday and Saturday and like everyone else is reporting tons of walleyes. Thurs went out between south bass and Kelleys. Didn't matter where we went anywhere between the two islands we caught fish after fish from 7 am to 5 pm. Started to slow down around 4 , but we still caught several the last hour. Water was a little stained near south bass and clear near kelleys. Caught just as many fish in both. We drifted with worm harnesses the entire time and 4 of us caught well over 100 walleyes. The majority were 14" fish. Managed 13 keepers with largest 20"s and lost a few keepers at the net. Color didn't matter, but gold, purple and pink seemed to do a little better. Used 1 oz egg sinker and could drag them and catch fish off bottom or cast and reel and catch suspended fish in equal numbers. Literally everywhere we fished we caught walleye.

Went back Sat and had another great day. Again well over 100 walleye drifting worm harnesses. Stayed closer to west side of Kelleys this time in clear water. Fish weren't spread over the entire area like they were Thurs, but when you got over top of large schools you caught tons. Still mostly 14-14.5 inch fish but caught 16 keepers with some close to 4 pounds. Lost a few nice fish at net again. We marked an area on SW side of kelleys and just continued to go over same area catching doubles and sometimes triples with 4 guys. Color seemed to matter a little more, but changed throughout day. Gold produced all day, with silver, blue, green and pink having better luck for periods of the day. Fished 6 am to 6 pm and fished slowed down around 4:30, but we were still catching a few when we left. We went to north end of island earlier in day in just over 30' of water and that was only area we didn't catch a walleye. All walleye were 20-27'. One of the guys tied on a john deer green hair jig and tipped it with a night crawler (we all laughed). He drug it behind boat all day and caught many walleye ( a few keepers ). Wasn't as productive as harnesses, but caught a good number. Dragging a harness wasn't as productive as reeling like it was thurs, but still caught a lot of fish.

Only down side was small fish are very aggressive and had several swallow hook. A lot of sheep and white perch in area so we went through 18 dozen worms on thurs. bought a flat Sat and used close to 3/4 of it. Also went through a lot of harnesses. Sheep really stretch your line. As a bonus we caught a few nice yellow perch each day. More on Sat than Thurs. Noticed signs of a few mayflies Sat. For me that usually seems to be the beginning of the end for the western basin. They gorge themselves then start heading east.
