We fished north out of Huron, trying to find a better concentration of fish. We found a nice school north north east in 44 ft of water. We refined yesterdays program.
Our bigger fish came on Spro...

It has been several weeks since I have been out and it feels good to be back.
The fishing was much easier before. We fished the line North of the Huron dump. We never did mark any big schools. It...

    Re: Trip

Ditto to others. You don't need to run far to catch eaters.

As to clean water, NO. You don't want muddy or clean. Look for stained water.

Trust your electronics. If you are marking fish no...

    5/28

We didn't start until the sun was out and bright and the lake was flat. I thought oh no we have missed the bite. WRONG! The bite was going strong.
We were still one of a few boats working deep. It...

    Re: Sunday afternoon report 5/22

    Yes Cedar Point.

Bob, I was just hunting and got lucky. I will most likely be off the water for a few weeks and decided to look east for what to expect when I get back.
    Hopefully I will beat the...

  15. Re: Fishing Day 2 with Jim and Gary 5/18/2022

It is so refreshing to read a report that tells it like we all know it is some times. Not the typical captain that says we are killing them, multiple limits - and either several days old or no full...

Dansdad, we always teach the little ones to cast and drift first until they mature enough to master the more sophisticated advanced trolling, lol. Besides they have to be strong...

    5/15 Best Day Ever

It was not the best day because of the fish but the company.
Grandpa, Grandma, Son and Grandson's first day in the boat (he's 3). Lots of snacks and drinks and a great time and lots of pictures.

Sorry for the late report but I got in late and was beat.

    5/10 report

We decided to fish late and let the wind lay a little more and temps rise. It was a good call as the lake and weather were perfect. The fish not so much.

Re: Fishing with Jeff and Bart 4/30/2022

    FWIW
We run a large barrel swivel before our releases. It gives you even a little more room and maneuverability than twin rings and stops binding. We found with just straight rings ( we tried it)...
