Re: Draggin' the Line East of Pelee

Thank you for the details. I have been procrastinating about getting Canadian licenses. Hate the two rod limit, but like getting away from the herd.

    Re: East of Kellys 6/29/22

We had bad midges Tuesday afternoon.. If there is wind they should be OK. If it is still, there are pockets of the all over West of Huron.

    Re: Tuesday 6/28 evening

My suggestion is to fish NNE from Huron. Go out until you are in 45 ft of water. Troll East if the waves will allow. Stay well south of the line in that pocket of deeper water.

    Good luck and boat...

    Tuesday 6/28 evening

We are still fishing out in front of Huron. 45 ft of water.
The deep bite is still going strong. We fished from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. I hoped as the sun lowered the fish would come up, but we only caught...

Re: Single hooks on stinger spoons

I use a true turn or slow death with a swivel in front of it on spoons. I leave trebles on Bandits.

You shouldn't need it now but if you find them slapping at it, you can add a piece of crawler,...

    Friday 6/24 afternoon

We fished north out of Huron, trying to find a better concentration of fish. We found a nice school north north east in 44 ft of water. We refined yesterdays program.
Our bigger fish came on Spro...

    6/23 Thursday report

It has been several weeks since I have been out and it feels good to be back.
The fishing was much easier before. We fished the line North of the Huron dump. We never did mark any big schools. It...

    Re: Trip

Ditto to others. You don't need to run far to catch eaters.

As to clean water, NO. You don't want muddy or clean. Look for stained water.

Trust your electronics. If you are marking fish no...

    Yes Cedar Point.

Bob, I was just hunting and got lucky. I will most likely be off the water for a few weeks and decided to look east for what to expect when I get back.
    Hopefully I will beat the...

  24. Re: Fishing Day 2 with Jim and Gary 5/18/2022

It is so refreshing to read a report that tells it like we all know it is some times. Not the typical captain that says we are killing them, multiple limits - and either several days old or no full...

    Re: Inline trolling boards

We trip from the middle. You want to make sure the back release is behind the pin so you don't loose your board. You want to retrieve the board from the back. It comes in smoothly and easily that way.
