Ya, I do same for casting except a #4 for leader hook and about 2 inches or so. I don't troll, but if wind speed enough definitely drift with bottom bouncer off the bow.

Anyone make there own harnesses? Here are a couple I've made. Ordered a bunch of other beads of various sizes too. Do you guys like one or two hooks? I've found the one hook doesn't get hung up...
