    Re: Where are the walleye

They are not biting out past West Sister for us. Slow pick the last couple of days with lots of small ones. Very slow. We are heading east to Marblehead tomorrow. Hopefully better action there.

A worm burner is a stinger spoon with a few extra beads and a 2 hook harness behind it for rigging a night crawler. They work pretty good at times

    Re: Finding walleye

I get too much interference on my screen when running at any speed to see fish marks. Is there a solution for that? I have an older boat with older Matrix 97. I'm sure the wiring isn't great, but I'm...

I like Power Pro and I use the 30/6 lb test. It is stiffer than Spiderwire so has less issues with blowing in the wind, flipping around rod tips, etc. You can get Power Pro at lots of places like...

TAG, I agree. I've looked into it and that seems to be the best option. I've decided to go with the Minn Kota Terrova 80 lb 24 V 60 in. I won't need to link it to my older Humminbird to make it work...

Thanks to all for the advice. I think I'll look into the bow mount trolling option. It will likely require a new sonar unit but that's not a bad thing since my current one is pretty old.

    Great advice!

Great advice on going out that far Capt Juls. I've taken my 21 ft Lund out to the weather buoy and it can be more than spooky-scared spitless if it starts to blow. Be careful.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, casting is a lot more fun, especially with kids or impatient anglers. Trolling can be more productive at times but is not the same as holding the rod in your hands.
