She is in college at Kent St. I called her and asked about going fishing....she is all geeked :) .

Now I have to find some perch and eyes. Any thoughts ???

Yes, I have done well there in the past. Many years ago we were in there to moor up for the night. Did some fishing and bam caught a few.

But it is hit or miss.

Freddie, I wish I could ! Your dad is correct it is a bit of a challenge and can be dangerous. The shoal I am sure has taken its share of damaged lower units, hulls, and keels.

There is a nice deep hole at the end the shoals located off the north east corner of Kelly's. I have taken some nice perch out of there. It is a hole surrounded 3/4 sides by walls and about 100...

I looked up sat images hoping they would show deeper spots. Sorry did not see anything. That is not to say they are not there however.

I too would head for perch. Mid/late morning fishing can be hit or miss. Perch can stay more positive longer IMO. Good luck and enjoy.

Besides...everyone knows perch are better eats :).

Just a guess...but run off carrying nutrients cause the bloom.

Having a lack of rain will help with not catching algae.

Hello, I have a 78 Gradywhite Seafarer with a OMC out drive. I now have a crack in the boot and need to replace it. Where can I find a reasonable place to purchase one ????

I have found them...

For me, if the boat is larger a hard top ! If smaller a soft top if in between its up to you.

I am partial to hard tops however, lots of uses for them.

I like to fish that area or Wiers rapids both fun spots and safe.

Not sure however I know I like t.t.'s on my Grady.

I have another question...I need to replace the boot on my out drive. I have a OMC where is a good place to find on with a reasonable price.

I have a 1980 Grady White Seafarer. The boot on the out drive has a hole in it. Where is inexpensive place to purchase one...the dealers are out site IMO.
