I've had these same thoughts and have heard of people catching them in the bay in May and June trolling. People catch them in the fall on their way to the river so you should be able to catch them on...

Also went out of turtle creek this morning, we managed 4 quick at toussaint, then picked at them for another 3 drifts to get to 9 total. Finished off our limit by trolling north of D can with dhj 75...

We have been catching them recently around 38-43 fow. Recently they have been in the lower 1/3 of the water column but that can change.

Only got a few out there two weeks ago. Have been hoping it will get better soon...
