I guess I would say speed is a crucially important factor. I catch a lot of fish by varying my speeds. Turns and reeling lines in and letting back trigger lots of hits.

Reef runners always catch fish for me. I just make sure they are always tuned in.

Trolling will be good weather permitting. Jigging who knows that's pretty early.

Are their any docks in at Catawba or Mazurik? Does Mazurik have a permanent dock on the west end?

I will probably start by Mouse and Starve reefs.

I cant wait for ice any longer, so I am breaking the boat out and headed to the lake this weekend thru Tuesday.

Is the Bite still good out of Huron? Want to give it a go weather permitting.

Kicker motor, Planer boards, trolling rods with line counters, trolling bible. If you have that stuff then you should be ready to go. The rest is trial and error.

Will be hitting it this weekend if the weather permits.
