I've used several and I have never felt under gunned with the plain old Vexilar FL-8.

Yep...Never fished with him because I do my own thing but met him in the Catawba parking lot and he was a very nice dude.

I got the 1200...But I also pay $ 80 or so a year for amazon prime...don't remember but that may be why it was free shipping...I use amazon a lot.

I just bought an otter lodge.....the full insulated one.....cheapest was on amazon with the free shipping....plan to use it ONLY behind the ATV.

Sounds like I made the right decision to head west to the Crane/Wards area for my vacation. My buddy fished Catawba today and picked up an 8# steelhead of all things!!! No walleye though.

Thank you for the information....I'm thinking of coming Monday - Friday to avoid the weekend rat race. How is the snow on the ice? I have a Honda 500 Rubicon....4wd....No chains.

Heading over to fish for a week or so and usually go out of Catawba but seems like the majority of the fish headed west. Thinking about Metzgers...What do you guys think. Never fished out of there...
