Well?......Who caught today?

We put the boat in for first trip of the year today. Had to break skim ice at the ramp, but almost no ice on the lake. We moved a few times and couldn't find any good marks. Finally marked a couple fish north of Big Pickeral and got one to bite on a deep husky jerk 70 back. Their were about a dozen boats trolling around the reefs, talked to a couple of boats north us that had 4 or 5 in the box and a handful of pullbacks at 110 back. Water temp was 34/35 degrees, but a beautiful day to be on the lake.

went out sat all I got is cold feet tried mouse island reef good marks no takers then tried west harbor reef marks were not as good there called it quits at 12;30 there were about 25 trailers at Catawba somebody had to get them

Today we started between crane and big pick, couple marks ,but no takers. Trolled past cone to little pick, no marks, ran down towards touisaint, nothing. stopped at locust, no marks. Ran out to the edge of the ice near west sister and finally started marking fish....tried everything.... speed, depth, color, different baits.....not even 1 pull back.....made the biggest mistake of the year and didn't bring the flashers!

You mean for vertical jigging? I was thinking about that myself. If I make it over early, I won't forget mine.
