If any of you have ever attended this great event. You will know what it means to all the Vets who have attended. There is a group of us starting to form to try to keep this event going. Any and everyone is welcome to help, Nels and his boss ( wife) boots are some big ones to fill. So if your an experienced event organizer, or just want to help. It would be appreciated. With heavy hearts we are announcing that, due to ongoing health concerns of our founder and organizer, Nels Larsen, the 2015 event was the last event put on by Walleyes for Warriors. For Nels, the staff and the volunteers, this news has been bitter sweet. Walleyes for Warriors began with one man's dream and has touched the lives of over a thousand veterans and surrounding communities.

To all sponsors, captains and volunteers who helped make our events possible, we wish that we could thank you all in person for the hard work and sacrifices that you gave to this organization. Without you this event would have stayed as just a dream, but instead you helped reach out to our veterans and showed that they are not forgotten but are heroes in your eyes and the eyes of the community. Thank you!

To all the veterans who participated in any of the Walleyes for Warriors events, we were honored to have been able to serve you and our greatest memories will be of watching all the veterans return with the days catch. Thank you for your service to our country, and welcome home.
