Worms and Spinners?
Hello All-
We're driving up tonight, staying through Wednesday and I'm wondering if I should pack my Spinners with the water Temp being only 50 degrees?
We always fish the 2nd week of June and will again this year, but rarely get to come this time of year. Any help will be appreciated.

I would if you don't you may wish you did I think a lot of people will be trying them this weekend

Yes, find the right color water. Stained to where you can just see your cavitation plate. Cover the water column, go slow, from .8 to 1.4MPH and you should be hitting them good.

Do or die! Starting the same as every other year I am fishing worms tomorrow.

Let's go back in time to the drift and cast days those days when everyone drifted and cast. As soon as we could, mid April or before we would be on the reefs casting weighted forward spinners such as Erie Dearies, Silver and Gold nuggets and of all things Reef Runners weighted forward spinners. Jim Feltmen Sr. had the RR company at that time and Scot Stecker the current RR owner was a charter captain at Channel Grove marina along with Jim Feltmen Jr. and several others. So, yes worms work well this time of year.

Worm harnesses were on fire today.
-
Yes... worms worked well all weekend thru Tuesday. Purple and Pink Colorado and willows blades did the trick despite nasty NE winds Mon-Tuesday.
-
Can you run crawler harness behind jet divers? Or would snap weights work best?
-
You can run them behind Jets or Tru-trips with good success and the inline wts work well also. It just depends on what you prefer to use. Inlines will give your harness more verticle swim when slowing down or on the inside on turns.
