I talked to 5 different boats that fished today and they all limited but one. They were trolling crankbaits. Good luck..

Capt. Jim of Eyecatcher: Glad to hear the season has started. Of the 5 boaters you talked to, do you happen to know where they launched what baits were hot or what area they were working. I'd be up there in a minute but unfortunately I will be tied up all next week chasing wahoo and mahimahi off the coast of Cozumel with my son and 2 grandsons. I highly recommend retirement to anyone even thinking about it. Keep feeding the fish until I return.
Fished North of B can yesterday . 29ft of water. Pulled DHJ12 from 30-90 back . Caught a 3 man limit in a couple of hours . 1.0-1.4 mph . Other boats in the same area catching as well .All but 2 fish we pre-spawn females in the 7-11lb range . There are some good size debris fields out there in some areas offshore as well . Launched out of Turtle Creek. Talked to 2 boats that jigged close to K can with limits as well .
